You can find The Quick Selection Tool in the panel on the left of your screen. It should be the fourth option below the Polygonal Lasso Tool. The quick selection icon should look like a paintbrush with dotted lines around the tip.

How to use the Quick Selection Tool:

1. Open your image in Photoshop.

2. Find the Quick Selection Tool. The icon represented by a solid rectangle surrounded by a dotted line is found on the left side toolbar by right-clicking the Object Selection Tool and clicking the third icon.

1. Move the pointer until you have surrounded part of the image that will remain after the background has been removed. You can also tap "Select Subject" in the upper "Options" menu bar. Zoom in to fix imperfections around the subject. You might find you want to add to the selection. If so, click and drag over another area. 

2. When you reach the desired result, right-click your outlined subject and then click "Layer Via Copy."

3. Tap the eyeball icon in the "Layers" panel next to "Layer 0," as it will be called by default to make the background disappear in the menu on the right side of your screen.
